Conference Registration:
Early-bird registration is available until August 25, 2008 to members at $275 and to non-members at $325. Standard registration will be available until September 10, 2008 to members at $350 and to non-members at $375. Registration fees will not be refundable after September 3, 2008.
Golf: Please respond by August 1st if you are interested in playing in the Golf Tournament on Wednesday, September 17 at 10:30 a.m. at the Harding Park Golf Course. The entry fee is $115 per player. We have reserved a number of slots and need the estimated total in advance. Keynote Speaker: Patricia Dunn
Ms. Dunn led Barclays Global Investors, the world's largest institutional investment management firm, from 1996 to 2002, having been with the firm and its predecessor companies since 1976. She served in a variety of portfolio management, trading, client service and sales positions before joining the firm's senior management team in the mid-1980s. Ms. Dunn was appointed President of the firm in 1994, Co-Chairman in 1996, and Global Chief Executive Officer in 1998. As CEO, Ms. Dunn directed BGI's growth into new global markets for the firm's investment capabilities, and expanded its offerings into new product categories, including iShares, the market leader in Exchange-Traded Funds.
Ms. Dunn stepped down as CEO for health reasons in 2002 and served in a non-executive capacity as Vice Chairman until October, 2006. Ms. Dunn joined the board of Hewlett-Packard Company in 1998 and was named Non-Executive Chairman in February, 2005. She resigned from the H-P Board in September, 2006.
Ms. Dunn was named one of the top women business executives in the US by Fortune Magazine in 2000 and 2001, received the Annual Achievement Award of the Financial Women's Association of San Francisco in 2001, the "Aiming High" Award of the NOW Legal Defense & Education Fund in 2002, and was inducted into the Bay Area Council Business Hall of Fame in September, 2006. She serves as Vice Chairman and member of the Executive Committee of Larkin Street Youth Services in San Francisco, is a member of the Advisory Board of the UC Berkeley Haas Graduate School of Business, and the Board of Governors of the San Francisco Symphony. She is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley.
