The Society Elects New Chairmen
At Annual Meeting in Philadelphia

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

PHILADELPHIA — The Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals elected William J. Mostyn III of Bank of America as Society chairman for the 2006-07 year at its annual meeting on July 1, 2006.

Lydia I. Beebe of Chevron was elected Chairman-Elect for 2006-07 at the same meeting.

Mr. Mostyn is Deputy General Counsel and Secretary, Bank of America. He has served on the Society's Board of Directors from 2002 to the present; on the Educational Programs Committee from 2001 to 2003; on the Executive Steering Committee from 2003 to the present; on the PCAOB Committee 2003-Present; and on the Securities Law Committee from 2001 to the present.

Ms. Beebe is Secretary, Chevron Corporation. She has served on the Society's Board of Directors 2001-2004; as the Corporate Practices Committee Chairman 2004-2006; on the Educational Programs Committee 2005-Present; on the Executive Steering Committee 2003-2004; as the National Conference Committee Chairman 2002-2003; and on the Securities Law Committee 2000-2004.

The following Society members were elected to the Society's Board of Directors for three-year terms expiring in 2009:

  • Andrea L. Dulberg, General Counsel, GlobeOp Financial Services;
  • Stacey K. Geer, Chief Securities Counsel, BellSouth Corporation;

  • Craig D. Mallick, Assistant General Counsel & Assistant Secretary, United States Steel Corporation;
  • Richard J. Morrison, Assistant General Counsel, NSTAR;

  • Paul F. Washington, Secretary & Vice President, Office of the Chairman & CEO, Time Warner Inc.
