Each year the Society presents a number of public seminars which are held in various parts of the country. Society members and non-members serve as faculty on a volunteer basis, instructing on subjects in which they have special expertise and experience. On occasion the Society joins with other organizations in presenting such seminars.

In addition, the Society has begun using new technologies, such as videoconferencing, to bring information to seminar participants more conveniently.

Other recent courses have concentrated on such topics as:

  • "Automating the Corporate Secretary's Office,"
  • "Records Management,"
  • "Executive Compensation Disclosure,"
  • "EDGAR" and
  • "New and Expanding Demands on the Corporate Secretary's Office."

A large number of both members and nonmembers attend these programs each year, learning from the experts, and also enjoying opportunities to discuss ways of dealing with common concerns with other participants. Members are generally entitled to discounts on seminar fees.
